edman93:

If studying-lgbtq-people inboxes you asking to take part in questions about LGBTQ people “to help her understand” DO NOT DO IT. It is Sophie M Herold, the girl from Germany who attacks LGBTQ people and outs them to others. She is transphobic, homophobic and one of the sickest people I know. And now she’s back with a cunning new plan to get you NAME, ADDRESS, BIRTH DATE, AND PHOTO.

This girl is dangerous, and for some reason is allowed to keep making new tumblr accounts. We’ve raised awareness before and it helped, so lets do it again before she puts another persons life in danger. She collects your information and gives it out to others, she has sent letters to peoples parents outing them, other people have gotten hurt because of her. Yes, hurt.

Even if we can’t stop her again, get this message out and stop others giving her information etc.

And Sophie, you should know by now not to fuck with me again, wrong move, buddy.

What $8 can buy

When I was younger, I loved to go for walks. I always hated running, and a minor birth defect excused me from those portions of PE. But walking? Walking I could do.

I walked a little funny, and I was so much shorter than everyone I lost the ability to walk slowly, just from the effort to keep up. I walked to and from school, to the park, to the store, to a friend’s house. And, I just walked; plugged in my Walkman and went where the road took me until the batteries died. When I was a teenager and indestructible, I would sneak out in the middle of the night to go for walks.

15 years ago, I was hit by a car while crossing the street. I flew 20 feet and came away with some impressive bruises and a torn ligament in my wrist. And my sciatic nerve was severed just below the knee.

Now, my foot drags and the loping gait I use to compensate hurts my back. I have to use a cane for balance. Some days, I’m in too much pain to even see. Walking at all is a struggle.

For $8, I bought a silly little iPhone app called Zombies, Run! It looked like it might be fun, and the price tag was nothing compared to the cost of the phone. Besides, even if I only ever did the 1st mission, I’ve spent far more on video games that I hated or found completely unplayable.

I have walked 3km, minimum, every day since I fired up mission 1. Whether it’s the radio crew telling me to be safe, Runner 8 second guessing me, or Sam fretting away from his booth, the denizens of Abel Township have given me back something I thought I’d lost forever. And that is worth any price.

Talent!

All weekend, I’ve been making wonderful, complicated breakfasts involving lots of chopping and multiple pans. All without incident.

Today, I made something much simpler and managed to grate my thumb. While washing up. Because I am just that talented.
